Past the door is a boss teleport. I ve got a card sonara or somth like that. But it doesn t work on yacht locked door. Ill try not to spoil anything but taking the ending which uses the elevator we navigated to a opening to the snow on the mountain where the plane cockpit is.

We saw a photo get burnt in a cutscene but we went back and found a hole leading to another door that was like the others which require stones or skulls to open it.
